WORLD CLEAN UP DAY

Join Sea Shepherd at Mooloolaba on Sunshine Coast as we continue our Waves of Change Project, hosting 13 beach and river clean-ups across South East Queensland over the coming months. You'll get to be part of this epic project! #makehistory #stemthetide

Between 12 and 15 million metric tonnes of land-based plastic enters the ocean each year, but you can help us today!

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday 18 September 2021
  • Location: Arthur Parkyn Park, 131 Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba

Event Schedule:

  • 8.00am Contactless registration starts and Event commences with a safety briefing
    *11.00am Event concludes

What to bring:

  • BYO gloves (compulsory to BYO and wear gloves during COVID)
  • Wear closed-in shoes* Be SunSmart
  • Reusable water bottle (no single-use plastic, please)
    *Bring along a face mask in case you need to face cover during the event or to adhere to Government restrictions.
    *If you are feeling unwell on the day, please stay at home.

**Please note we have implemented several changes to our clean-ups to make them COVID Safe for all participants; however, due to the changing nature of Government restrictions, the above event details and schedule may change.
