The Green Meadow Foundation GB as non- profit organization is registered under Societies Act 1860 of the (XXI of 1860) Society Registration No R/JSC-GB -57 /2016 as of 17th Day of August,2016. It is non- political, non-religious organization. The Organization mission is to inspire people to make environmental action part of their everyday lives and in the lives of those around them in Gilgit Baltistan and across world, through local action for global change to improve the social and economical well being of our community. GMF-GB is active in environmental Education, protection, Biodiversity conservation information dissemination, solid waste management, heritage conservation. Environmental awareness has been the cross cutting theme of all Programe of Foundation. Volunteers are currently working o n the projects to create awareness and support activities that favor the preservation of our environment. Our objective is to encourage the protection and restoration of the environment. The organization is working toward achieving its strategic goals through creating environmental awareness and taking positive action for change towards environmental issues similar to climate change, pollution and natural catastrophies. We focus on change in the set of mind of people all around the Gilgit Baltistan and people around us because the climate change is felt by all of us irrespective of where we are located in the surface of the earth. Green Meadow Foundation started in August 2016 and has since planted over 8,000 trees in over 12 beneficiary schools, religious centers, Govt. Institutions, community centers as well as deforested areas. Creative PODA LAGO care programmes have been implemented and children, community members and volunteers are getting their hands dirty, learning a lot and loving it. Working together, we can achieve a cleaner environment and stronger economy through sustainable use of natural resources and effective waste management and pollution prevention activities.
