Our mission is to provide outdoor learning opportunities to the local community, especially children and young people, foster understanding of self directed education and raise environmental and climate awareness by promoting sustainable living and care for local resources.
Join us for a family friendly litter pick in Beckton District Park for World Clean Up Day on Saturday 18 September from 10:30am until 12:30pm.
Everyone is welcome! This is a wonderful opportunity to meet others in your local community and teach your family and friends the importance of caring for our local resources.
Litter pickers, hoops, gloves and bags will be provided but please feel free to bring your own if you have them. We will also provide hand sanitiser.
We will be cleaning up the wooded areas of Beckton District Park South, so please note that some areas may not be accessible to buggies, wheelchairs or other mobility aids. We will split into groups to aid in social distancing and to cover more areas of the park.
Meet at Will Thorne Pavilion, Stansfeld Road (near the car park).
