On 19th September 2020 nearly 180,000 volunteers have joint World Cleanup Day. Total weight of waste have been collected is 366 tons, including 306,000 cigarette butts and 38,000 plastic bottles. There are more than 236 cities in China with 2,828 teams joining the world's largest environmental protection activity for solid waste cleanup, and one of China's most influential environment education action. This is the 3rd year of Pickup China (Shanghai Pudong LIFE Environment Promotion Center) host World Cleanup Day in China.

World Cleanup Day 2020 has been promoted on multiple publicity platforms such as Wechat. Weibo, Kwai, Meituan, iQiyi, CowTransfer and the event got over 150 medias coverage.
