For more than a few decades, Let's Do It World has demonstrated that meaningful environmental change begins with people. What started as a local initiative has grown into one of the world's largest civic movements, connecting millions of volunteers, thousands of community leaders and partners across more than 190 countries.
As we begin our new Board term for 2026-2029, we are launching Let's Do It World Working Groups to give more members the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of our global movement.
Each Working Group brings together volunteers, professionals, educators, researchers, businesses, public institutions and community leaders who want to share their knowledge, develop new ideas and help strengthen Let's Do It World's programmes, partnerships and global impact. Every Working Group is led by a Board Member or Executive Team member and supported by Headquarters.
Lead: Iuliia Markhel (Ukraine)
This Working Group will develop the global Communications & Marketing Strategy for Let's Do It World, strengthening the visibility and recognition of the movement, World Cleanup Day and Digital Cleanup Day. It welcomes communication professionals, storytellers, journalists, designers, photographers, videographers, PR and marketing specialists who want to help build a stronger global voice for environmental responsibility and active citizenship.

Building long-term partnerships is essential for lasting impact - the goal behind this Working Group is a genuinely sustainable Let's Do It World, funded steadily rather than campaign by campaign, globally, regionally, and locally alike. Work spans fundraising and sustainable funding models, corporate partnerships and sponsorships, philanthropy, and grant writing - moving the organisation from one-off support toward predictable, long-term resourcing.
We welcome professionals with experience in business development, fundraising, CSR, grant writing, finance, and strategic partnerships.
Lead: Siiri Tiivits-Puttonen (Estonia)
Education is one of the strongest drivers of long-term environmental change. The Green Education Working Group will develop educational programmes, strengthen environmental literacy, support youth engagement and active citizenship, organise international training programmes and webinars, build capacity across the network and promote innovation in environmental education. We invite teachers, educators, universities, researchers, youth leaders, trainers and everyone passionate about learning for sustainability.
Lead: Casmir Yodoyman (Chad)
The Africa Leadership Network Workgroup exists to strengthen Let's Do It World's presence across the continent, building stronger cooperation with national governments, like the African Union, and regional partners. The Working Group brings together several connected areas of work: communication and media, to build a consistent, coordinated voice for the movement across African countries; waste management, supporting practical, on-the-ground solutions suited to the region's diverse contexts; World Cleanup Day, coordinating the continent's participation in the movement's biggest annual moment; and youth engagement, bringing young people into leadership roles rather than participation alone, in a continent defined by its young population.
Alongside this sits the foundation needed to sustain that work: financial sustainability, to build the funding base the network needs to grow beyond any single campaign; capacity building and training, to strengthen local teams' skills and organisational ability; regular webinars, keeping the network connected between in-person gatherings; and regional coordination, linking individual countries' efforts into one coherent African strategy.
We welcome Country Leaders, government representatives, NGOs, universities, youth organisations, and development partners from across Africa to be part of this work.

The Annual Conference Working Group will help prepare the Let's Do It World Annual Conference 2027, contributing across four connected areas of work. Programme development shapes the substance of the conference itself - the sessions, themes, and content that give the gathering its purpose, with a focus this year on themes such as AI, youth engagement, and environmental and circular economy best practices. International cooperation ensures the event genuinely reflects the global nature of the network, drawing in perspectives and partners from across the movement rather than any single region. Participant engagement focuses on the experience of everyone attending, from first contact through to the days on-site, so the conference feels welcoming and worthwhile at every stage. And event organisation covers the practical backbone that makes it all possible - logistics, scheduling, and the countless details that turn a programme into a working event.
We welcome experienced event organisers, facilitators, programme designers, and volunteers to be part of this work.
