Every global movement is ultimately shaped by the people behind it. While millions of volunteers take action in their own communities, it is the shared vision, collaboration, and leadership of dedicated individuals that help connect these local efforts into a truly global force for change.
Following the Let’s Do It World General Assembly, we are proud to introduce the newly elected Board of Directors for the 2026–2029 term. The Board represents eight countries across six world regions, bringing together decades of expertise in environmental leadership, community mobilisation, circular economy, education, social entrepreneurship, and international partnerships.
Although each Board member comes from a different cultural and professional background, they share one common belief: lasting environmental change begins with people taking responsibility together.
Over the next three years, the Board will support the growth of the Let’s Do It World network, strengthen cooperation among national teams, develop strategic partnerships, expand environmental education, advance circular economy solutions, and inspire millions more people to become part of the global movement.
We are also delighted that the newly elected Board unanimously re-elected Heidi Solba (Estonia) as President of Let's Do It World, recognising her leadership in building one of the world's largest civic environmental movements.
Together, this remarkable team will help shape the next chapter of Let’s Do It World.
Heidi Solba is an architect – not of buildings, but of human networks. Over the past decade as Co-Founder and Head of Network for Let's Do It World – and as its President for the past six years – she has established and grown the international network, helping transform a grassroots initiative into a UN-recognised global movement. She has worked alongside thousands of country leaders, volunteers and partners to connect more than 139 million people – and through them, their societies and the wider world – into a single catalytic force, turning shared knowledge, understanding and goodwill into lasting positive change. Her leadership has spanned international campaigns, partnerships and World Cleanup Day Broadcasts – including Kyiv during active conflict.
At the heart of her work is a radical idea. Rather than being purely a cleanup organisation, she believes Let’s Do It World is an experiment in human identity, building the muscle memory of collective responsibility until caring for the planet feels not like activism, but simply what humans do. For Heidi, the most revolutionary thing a person can do is care, visibly, together, and at scale.
William Willoughby has served on the Let’s Do It World Board of Directors for six years and is a co-founder of National CleanUp Day in the United States. Throughout his work, he has focused on turning global momentum into meaningful local action by building partnerships between communities, businesses, and governments. Having represented the movement at conferences from Estonia to Taiwan and Ukraine, he has witnessed how civic participation can transcend borders and cultures to solve shared environmental challenges.
William is committed to helping societies overcome "trash blindness," promote circular thinking, and empower people to take responsibility for their environment. He believes that strong local action, connected through a global network, is one of the most powerful tools for creating lasting environmental change.
Iuliia Markhel is a Ukrainian environmental activist, youth leader, influencer, and one of the co-founders of Let’s Do It World. For more than 24 years, she has led environmental initiatives that combine volunteer mobilisation, environmental education, and community resilience. As the founder of Let’s Do It Ukraine and School Recycling World, she has inspired thousands of volunteers and young people to become active environmental leaders.
Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Iuliia became one of the first environmental advocates to systematically document ecocide and raise international awareness of the environmental consequences of war, including the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. She believes that even in the most difficult circumstances, collective action remains a powerful force for hope, recovery, and lasting change.
Luan Hasanaj is an environmental activist from Kosovo and Executive Director of Let’s Do It Kosovo – Ta Pastrojmë Kosovën. With more than two decades of experience in civil society, he has dedicated his career to environmental protection, volunteer mobilisation, and community empowerment.
Since launching the movement in Kosovo in 2012, he has led nationwide cleanup campaigns, environmental education programmes, and public awareness initiatives that have brought together citizens, institutions, businesses, and local governments. Luan believes that lasting environmental transformation begins when communities work together and take ownership of the places where they live.
Nima Keshan Zare has been an active member of the Let’s Do It World network since 2013, leading the movement in Iran and inspiring communities to take collective action for the environment. Throughout his journey, he has mobilised volunteers, strengthened environmental awareness, and encouraged businesses to move from linear to circular and more sustainable models.
His work reflects the belief that meaningful change happens when environmental responsibility becomes part of everyday life. Guided by the spirit of "One Goal, Millions of Actions," Nima is committed to strengthening international cooperation and helping build a future where sustainability becomes a shared value embraced by communities, organisations, and businesses alike.
Pål Mårtensson is one of the world's leading advocates for Zero Waste, with more than 30 years of experience transforming waste management into resource management. He pioneered the creation of the world's first large-scale Re-Use Park, Kretsloppsparken Alelyckan in Gothenburg, Sweden, which has become an international model for circular economy solutions.
Throughout his career, Pål has helped cities, organisations, and communities transition towards Zero Waste while sharing his expertise at more than one hundred international environmental conferences, including Rio+20, COP meetings, and global Zero Waste forums. He believes waste is not an inevitable outcome but a design challenge that can be solved through innovation, collaboration, and circular thinking.
Casimir Yodoyman is an environmental leader from Chad and President of Let’s Do It Chad. Since joining the Let’s Do It World movement in 2019, he has dedicated his work to empowering communities across Africa to become active drivers of environmental change.
Under his leadership, the movement has expanded to more than 17 of Chad's 23 provinces, bringing together volunteers, local organisations, and institutions around a shared commitment to a cleaner environment. With over 15 years of experience in leadership, organisational development, and community engagement, Casimir is committed to strengthening Let’s Do It World's presence across Africa, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring that African communities play a leading role in shaping sustainable solutions for the future.
Henry Kok-Kheng Teh is an environmental advocate, social entrepreneur, and Country Leader of Let’s Do It World Malaysia. Since joining the movement, he has focused on building partnerships between volunteers, businesses, universities, and public institutions to create long-term environmental impact beyond cleanups.
His work promotes the principles of Zero Waste and the 5Rs – Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, and Recycle – while strengthening community engagement and responsible resource management. Henry has helped organise large-scale environmental initiatives across Malaysia, including Earth Cleanup Week and collaborations with universities, local governments, and corporate partners.
He is committed to advancing the vision of Let’s Do It World through World Cleanup Day while supporting the transition to a circular and sustainable economy that creates measurable environmental impact, reduces poverty, and strengthens resilient communities.
Marta Rocha is an environmental leader, entrepreneur, and founder of Limpa Brasil, the official Brazilian member of the Let’s Do It World movement. Since 2008, she has led nationwide environmental campaigns, building one of Latin America's strongest community networks for environmental action through education, communication, and volunteer mobilisation.
She has developed innovative methodologies that engage schools, young people, and local communities while fostering long-term behavioural change. Through partnerships with organisations including UNESCO, UNDP, and UNEP, she has helped connect local action with global environmental goals while integrating culture, sustainability, and social innovation.
Marta believes that education, collaboration, and effective communication are the foundations for creating scalable solutions and inspiring lasting environmental responsibility across Brazil, Latin America, and the world.
Together, the 2026–2029 Board reflects the diversity, expertise, and collaborative spirit that define Let's Do It World. From Zero Waste pioneers and environmental educators to social entrepreneurs and community organisers, each member brings unique experience while sharing a common purpose – to empower people everywhere to become part of the solution.
As the movement continues to grow, this leadership team will work alongside our global network to strengthen partnerships, inspire action, and demonstrate that when millions of people unite around one goal, extraordinary change is possible.
