Freshly elected Board of Let's Do It World

Let’s Do It World’s new Board of Directors was elected during the annual Let's Do It World Conference in January 2022. On 16 February, the Board’s first meeting was held to establish the framework and to elect the President and CEO of the organisation. The new Board will work together until January 2024. We are happy to introduce its new members as follows:

- New Regional Director of Latin America - Alejandra Isabel Rivera Santos from Let’s Do It El Salvador. Alejandra has been part of LDIW family since 2014 and has organised 4 World Cleanup Days and 2 Leaders Academies since 2018.

- New Regional Director of Europe - Holger Holland from Let’s Do It Germany. Holger has been part of LDIW family since 2017 and is passionate about creating sustainable changes and finding innovative solutions.

- New Regional Director of West Asia - Nima Zare from Let’s Do It Iran. Nima has been part of LDIW family since 2014 and aims to improve cooperation efficiency between West Asian countries.

- New Regional Director of Africa - Christine Sayo Otinga from Let’s Do It Kenya. Christine has initiated different environment and waste management campaigns and since 2017 she has organized 4 World Cleanup Days in Kenya.

- New Regional Director of Asia - Leo (Jian-Liang) Lin from Let’s Do It Taiwan. In addition to leading the Taiwan team since 2017, Leo has organised two Asia Leader Academies and is inspired to contribute to the community of LDIW.

- Bill Willoughby will continue as Regional Director of North America. Part of LDIW family since 2017, Bill is a leader from the National Cleanup Day, USA and has developed programs and systems to encourage people to join World Cleanup Day.

- Pal Martensson will continue as Regional Director of Oceania. Pal is Zero Waste expert and has been part of LDIW family basically since the beginning.

Heidi Solba will continue as the Chairman of the Board and Head of Global Network. With previous knowledge and experience with LDIW network, she aims to improve, expand and strengthen their work even further.

On the 16 February the Board’s first meeting was held to establish the framework. The Board appointed Anneli Ohvril as Executive Director of the organisation.

The new Board will work together until January 2024.
