As the most important day of the year is approaching, we are reaching out to our incredible ambassadors, who have been so kind as to share the message of cleanups with their own followers, communities and wider networks.Collaboration for social good is one of the strongest forces behind World Cleanup Day, and we cannot overstate how grateful we are for every person helping us carry the message of planetary action further. Every shared post, every personal message, every video and every conversation can inspire one more person to take action for our planet, even when the waste we clean up was not ours to begin with.

This year, as we prepare for World Cleanup Day 2026 on 20 September, we are inviting our ambassadors to help us expand the reach of the movement even further. Our shared ambition is to engage 5% of the global population, and this can only happen when the message travels through people, communities and networks that already care. Our core ambassadors, including Faatiha Aayat, Christine Figgener, Kristjan Järvi, Merle Liivand, Elina Nechayeva and Johann Urb, are joining forces with an expanded group of passionate international voices whose connection to the movement has formed through our global network of country leaders and volunteers.

In the coming weeks, we are asking ambassadors to create and share content on their own social media channels, helping people understand how they can join World Cleanup Day, take action in their own communities and spread the word further. To make this easier, our team has prepared a social media pack with suggested captions, visuals, key messages and content ideas that ambassadors can adapt to their own voice and audience.

If you are a passionate activist, public figure, artist, creator, social media personality or simply someone with a deep love for our planet and a desire to share the message, you can already take part. Repost our calls to action, invite your community, spread the word and join the upcoming cleanup. We will be deeply grateful, and the planet will thank you too.

As we also look ahead to the 10th anniversary of World Cleanup Day, we are beginning to explore a larger international programme in Estonia, bringing talks, musical performances, creative collaborations and art exhibitions to the foreground in the capital of our beautiful country. An important event like this takes time, care and the right people, so the preparations are starting already now. To musicians, performers, speakers, artists and cultural figures around the world - we would love to hear from you. If you want to get involved and help spread the message through your craft, our paths might be aligning for the 10th anniversary of World Cleanup Day.

You can reach us at info@worldcleanupday.org and we will keep in touch.

Your voice can help inspire many more people to take that first step. Together, we can bring World Cleanup Day 2026 further than ever before.

World Cleanup Day 2026 is calling on ambassadors around the world to use their voices, creativity and communities to inspire action. Join us and help take the message of a cleaner planet even further.
