World Cleanup Day side event at UN-Habitat General Assembly in Nairobi

Let's Do It World started with the series of side events before and during the UN Habitat General Assembly which will be held from 5th-9th of June, in Nairobi, Kenya. 🇰🇪With side events, LDIW does look forward to gaining better visibility and acknowledgment to be listed in the UN Calendar with World Cleanup Day. The final voting will be made during the UN General Assembly in New York, in September.

On the 4th of June, with support from Let's Do It Kenya and Nairobi City County Government was held clean up with celebrations at Uhuru park in Nairobi. With the UN delegates and hundreds of volunteers was held awareness campaigns, tree planting, and cleanup activities. LDIW is thankful to Nairobi City Government, to Let’s Do It Kenya team, and Christine Sayo, the leader of World Cleanup Day in Kenya. Also, on the 8th of June, by Ministry of the Environment of Estonia and Let's Do It World NGO will organize a side event in the form of a Panel discussion at the UN Habitat General Assembly. The panel discussion as side event no 34, will be held at 13.15 - 14.15 pm Nairobi time. At the panel will be guests as Deputy Secretary General, Ministry of the Environment Estonia, Mr. Kaupo Heinma, and Executive Director, UN-Habitat, H.E. Ms. Maimunah Mohd Sharif. From Let’s Do It World in the panel will be presented by President and Head of Global Network Ms. Heidi Solba, Regional Director for Africa and Let’s Do It Kenya leader Ms. Christine Sayo and moderated by the Let’s Do It Egypt leader, founder YLE Foundation and UNEP observer, Mr. Ahmed Fathy.
