We chose the Estonian artist duo - Tõnis and Mariliis Kenkmaa - to create the artwork  for this 5th anniversary of World Cleanup Day, celebrating the Estonian roots of Let’s Do It and World Cleanup Day. When the national cleanup first took place in Estonia, no-one could have guessed that it would expand into a global environmental action of that scale, and that it would unite us all together into a big Earth-family. That’s why the illustration for 2022 is conveying the essence and core values of Let’s Do It - People, Positivity and Co-operation.
The token is your personal certificate to confirm your participation in 2022 World Cleanup Day. The program will go live on the World Cleanup Day on 17th September 2022, and close on 17th December 2022, so you have 3 months to claim your Thank You token. The artworks are collectible and the current illustration will only be available for this year’s participants.
The Thank you tokens are your personal certificate and  limited to 20 million. You can also download your illustration and print it out.
Between 1st October - 1st November, 2022 only, 100K claimers can withdraw their token as NFT (non-fungible token) to be stored on the blockchain.
NFTs are used to represent ownership of digital art, certificates and merit badges. World Cleanup Day 2022 offers an open edition of non-transferable NFTs representing one collectible work of art. The illustration will only be available to this year’s participants and will be limited to the first 100.000 participants who claim their tokens on the KOOS page.

The tokens are non-transferable means that they belong to the participants only. Users may be able to configure their social media accounts to display a verified list of NFTs they own, to show off their participation in a unique way.

The NFT tokens can be claimed free of charge, for a limited time, on the KOOS page. To get started, you will need a cryptocurrency wallet that supports NFTs on the Polygon blockchain. If you do not have such a wallet, you can install one for free — a popular option is the Coinbase Wallet; to install it, please follow the instructions in the “Getting started with Coinbase Wallet” section on the following page.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS: Tõnis & Mariliis Kenkmaa, Estonia

Estonian artist couple Mariliis and Tõnis Kenkmaa were part of Estonian Art Academy’s printmaking department and discovered a very similar taste in the visual world as well as the way of thinking about environments surrounding us.
Together with the minimalist visual approach they started to add conceptually triggering titles and produce artworks in the very classical printmaking techniques like silk-screen print, etching, lino-cut etc.

The couple's first exhibition “Prophecy Of Nothingness” (in Hobusepea Gallery, Tallinn 2013) was a prolific project and they were able to fill the gallery walls with 51 framed prints.
All works had their individual story and title.

“This was proof for us that together we can do everything.”

Since then Tõnis and Mariliis have put together several exhibitions with more than 250 different graphic works and Let’s Do It World is more than excited to have their creativity and ideas represented in our WCD2022 token.

The making of this exhibition introduced them to a unique level of collaborative creativity and guided them towards the quality and conceptuality of an artwork.
