Digital Cleanup Day 2023: record amount of “dead” data deleted to save CO2
The fourth Digital Cleanup Day held March 19 2023 organized by Let’sDo It World (“LDIW”) brought nearly 400 000 participants from 108 countries whom together deleted nearly 4M GB of data. By deleting the data, 1.7M kg of CO2 is saved yearly. Of the 108 countries participated, most data was deleted by participants from France, Indonesia, United States, Estonia and United Kingdom.

LETS DO IT WORLD 2008

On 3d of May 2008- 50 000 people came out and cleaned up the whole country of Estonia in just 5 hours. On that day, a global bottom-up civic movement was born and spread like wildfire around the globe.

LETS DO IT WORLD 2012

From March until September, over 96 countries held one-day cleanups with over million of volunteers. Let’s Do It! movement was born.

LETS DO IT WORLD 2014

The preparations for the first World Cleanup Day started, led by Let’s Do It Foundation.

LETS DO IT WORLD 2018

First World Cleanup Day is held on 15th September The green wave of cleanups started in New Zealand and ended in Hawaii 36 hours later. 18 million volunteers from 157 countries participated.

LETS DO IT WORLD 2019

Let’s Do It World NGO was established to represent and coordinate the countries in Let’s Do It World network. World Cleanup Day in 2019 united 21,2 million people from 180 countries.

LETS DO IT WORLD 2020

First global Digital Cleanup Day was held on Earth Day on 22nd of April, to bring attention to the growing environmental impact of digital waste. World Cleanup Day on 19 September 2020 united more than 11 million people in 166 countries despite COVID-19.

LETS DO IT WORLD 2021

Let’s Do It World Annual Conference is held virtually for the first time, attracting more than 2500 participants. More than 13,5 million people in 191 countries participated in cleanups in 191 countries during a year despite COVID-19.
